Post Baby Progress

Thank you so much for following my journey so far with staying on track while pregnant and now my journey to lose the baby weight. I am always hesitant to share my journey, but if I can help one person with their journey then its worth it!

My 40 Week Journey to staying fit (as best I can) during my 3rd pregnancy. I hate working out, I hate eating healthy, but I love the way it makes me feel! This is my attempt to keep it all together as a busy mom of two boys with my third on the way. My first two pregnancies I gained 55lbs each and was left with post depression and lots of weight to lose. The whole “eat for two thing” I took serious but was left with a lot more to lose than I anticipated. Working long hours with two kids it wasn’t easy, but I loved the flexibility I found with the beachbody quick 30 min workouts I could do from home or where ever! I loved the meal plans and mostly the accountability of the support groups. After losing almost 50lbs and keeping it off for 2 years when I finally got pregnant again I didnt want to ruin all the progress :)Sharing my journey has always been one of the biggest ways for me to be real, honest, help others stay accountable.
That was one of the main reasons I decided to share my journey and become a active coach. Which anyone can do! I may not always be perfect, I may skip workouts, have cheat meals love chicken wings to much but who doesn’t. I may get mocked or joked at but who doesnt now a days! My goal with this pregnancy to continue my 30 min workouts with the 21 Day Fix and stay healthy! If you ever want help with accountability or support please reach out to me! postbaby6 I was never the girl that loved to workout. I was never the girl that had it easy when it came to losing weight, or being fit.
..
In fact, I despised my last two pregnancies and barely even took a few photos. 👻 I barely felt self conscious enough to take photos of myself after my kids.🙍 After having my first two children I realized I put myself on the back burner for a long time.
..
Sometimes all it takes is one decision to give yourself 30min a few times a week, surround yourself with positive uplifting people and realize you are WORTH it!

The past 8 weeks after having my son Henry has been a bumpy road. I never anticipated what it would be like to have 3 boys at home and man life sure was busy! I gained bout 35lbs with my pregnancy and came home to have to lose 20lbs post baby.

I started back on track about 5 weeks post baby with 30 minute workouts. I decided to do a program that was near and dear to my heart, the 21 day fix. I chose this program because as a busy mom with two kids and a newborn it was the most focused around NUTRITION and 30 min workouts I knew I could modify and stick with!  postbaby13

The 3 week challenge was AMAZING. The support I received over the next 3 weeks (we kicked it off Sept 26th) was GREAT! Like myself, there were so many people who just got off track with the summer and school starting. So together we all started on the SAME day with a Challenge Pack of choice. So the 21 day fix beachbody workouts, Daily Dose of Dense Nutrition with our Super Shake and Daily check-ins in our group!

8 Week Progress (3 weeks in the challenge group):

So a little hesitant to share this 😳😱 but I promised I’d share my Journey so keeping my promise as much as this picture makes me wanna run for the hills😬! So let’s start with– I am far from perfect. I love wine, chips & pizza and did I mention wine? I didn’t start working out again till my doctor gave me the ok at 5 weeks. Totally eased into it! I did, nothing for those 5 weeks and it was spectacular💃🏼😴

So starting the end of September I did a 3 Week Accountability Online group right along with my challengers, I worked out 3-4 times a week for 30min with the at home workouts, followed the healthy portion meal plan model, Shakeology for breakfast, AND even threw in a Canadian 😋Thanksgiving in there!! It’s not easy being a new mom of 3, but I’m trying my best.

Are there days I sleep in, um yes! Oh wait that’s in my DREAMS! 😝 I do love the challenge group support👌🏻 makes me wanna get up and get moving! It makes me excited, helps me feel accountable, like I’m a normal mom and reminds me I’m NOT alone on this journey. Thank goodness for others #keepingitreal. Total within the 3 week group I have lost 8lbs! I’d say my biggest difference is my core and face. 13lbs to go! 🙌🏻 👬👬🙆 lets do this👌🏻 not done yet :)

There are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to losing the baby weight.

I knew there were a few things I really needed to know.

A. A PLAN

B. A NETWORK

C. NO EXCUSES MAKE TIME

D. Nutrition Fitness Plan

1. I needed a PLAN. I needed a goal and a strong why.  I know these are all different goals but I knew if I felt better about myself my confidence would increase and I could get out there. I am going SLOW. I know this is not going to happen over night. So for me the planning is half the battle.

2. NETWORK For me I know if I can be kept accountable I will finish any task someone gives me. That is just the way I am. I worked in sales my entire life and if someone sets a goal for me, I try and break it and then some. I had no one to keep me accountable and frankly I didnt care if my husband was my support haha, just being honest I needed some a team! So I decided to join the BACK on Track October challenge group. I thrived on the environment, the posts, the accountability, the tasks we were given, the positive feedback and friendships. Within 30 days I had lost over 10lbs. We made the group so people would have a spot to go for advice, motivation, be able to post progress photos, share recipes, etc. Feel free to answer questions and give your opinions.

3. NO EXCUSES. I realized I was my own worse enemy, I made every excuse because it was easier to make an excuse than do a 30min workout, (literally I have heard every excuse in my own mind) The Kids, Dinner, Laundry, Time, Need to find a job, but the pizza was easiest etc. bla bla bla! I made a choice, no matter what before I could talk myself out of it I would set my alarm at 6AM every morning and try to accomplish at least 20minutes.

4. NUTRITION AND FITNESS plan. This was my BIGGEST OBSTACLE! The problem was I had NO PLAN. I cant go to a gym because I had a 2 month old, a 4 year  and a 7 year old. I would snack on CRAP that lead me to wanting more CRAP, as a family we are poorly, there was junk, I had no idea if I could even do a squat! I wasn’t sure after year of no running if  I could physically walk a block.  I just get on my on demand and do the workouts right at home! We had a SPECIFIC plan what we needed to do every day. 6 days a week. Still I wasn’t seeing progress at all because my nutrition was horrifying. I needed to invest in Shakeology, a meal replacement wellness drink that contains

Shakeology is much more than a protein powder, it’s 70 REAL whole foods (super foods). For example:

It breaks down to about 4 bucks per shake ($129 for a 30 day supply) but as you can see you are paying for the quality. For coaches it’s about 3 bucks per shake ($97 for a 30 day supply).  And it really is a full meal that fills you up for only 3 or 4 bucks.  If you order a month supply in a Challenge Pack it comes with any Beachbody workout program of your choice at a big discount.  Shakeology comes in a variety of flavors (vanilla, chocolate, greenberry, strawberry, vegan chocolate, and vegan tropical strawberry) So I STOPPED going to get a Latte and had my shke a home to cover the cost.

WHAT NEXT???

I still have a solid 15lbs to lose!!!! I have it in my mind set that I will be in those pre baby jeans. I have literally every possible resource at my finger tips I just have to DO IT> but with the support of my network, the plan, the program, the nutrition guides I really had NO excuses why I cant do this able to do this with or without kids. With or without depression, with or without support it was all on me!
