No matter if you are single, married, have kids, don’t have kids…we are all busy! I find that when I get super busy staying healthy is super hard! Here are a few tips to help keep you on track when your “to do” list is taking over!
Tip #1: Bring your lunch with you
In the end this will save you time, money, and calories. Packing your lunch means that you aren’t going out to eat every single day and spending a ton of money and usually eating high caloric foods. Once you get into the routine of making your lunch the night before or morning of it will eventually become habit and you won’t think twice about it!
Tip #2: Plan your meals ahead of time
I usually take a few hours every Sunday to grocery shop for the week and do a lot of the prep work like chopping and washing produce that I am going to use for the meals that week. I save tons of time after work by doing this and it gives me no excuses to get takeout after a long day because it’s pretty much ready to go!
Tip #3: Crockpots can make life really easy
I have to admit I don’t own a crockpot but I have plenty of friends who do and say it’s life changing. I may have to make it a New Year’s Resolution to start using one!
Tip #4: Make a shake for breakfast
I spent years eating cereal before I left the house and felt hungry about 5 minutes later. Ever since I switched to a Shakeology for breakfast I feel full longer and it’s my healthiest meal of the day!
Tip #5: Pre-measure snacks
I have little self control around a box of Cheez-Its so I always pre measure a serving and put it in a little bowl or a bag to go. Sometimes I even measure out each serving right when I get home from the grocery store and put them in snack bags so they are ready to grab and go for the week.
