                                                          My Ultimate Reset Journey 

A few years ago I started my journey of getting fit and healthy.  The first program I committed to fully was The Ultimate Reset The first time I did this program I lost 14.4lbs in 21 days but more importantly I learned how to eat clean. Over the past two years I have use the skills I learned during this program to better the health of myself, my family and now hundreds  of other customers I have personally worked with.  I still use the products recommended during this program to this day. This is NOT a weight loss program, although when followed you will lose weight depending on what your level of clean eating was before. This is a program to teach you cooking skills that will last for along time. Since I started this program two years ago the weight really started to come off by focusing on clean eating and with the skills both my husband and I learned. Total I am down 33.2lbs since 2012 after my second son. Since that time Team Boom has helped many others with this program and the other workout programs to help others get fit and live a healthy life.

 

My focus this time is NOT weight loss but regaining energy. I found myself pigging out on the weekends and carryon that over to the week days, to much wine, snacking and I remember from committing way bad to this program it gave me recipes ideas for every single meal for 21 days. My husband loved when I did this because well I cooked and he loved the meals. SO this time I am doing it to just get on track and GAIN energy!! This is my sole purpose. I love the recipes, the food is amazing .

I recently decided after a year and a half to really commit to The Ultimate Reset again, this time not for the weight loss focus but to gain more energy and regain control of eating clean. I found myself on the weekends pigging out again and getting back into my old routine, which soon turned into weekends and then the week. During to much wine, eating to much processed foods and chicken wings, which don’t get my wrong I do and will forever and ever indulge! I wanted to go into the summer with feeling fresh and ready to keep up with my kids energy that seems to be increasing each day!!! Technically while doing this program you are suppose to do light Yoga,  Pilates but I take realistic approaches to every program and that is I will NEVER be 100% all in. That is just life and mine is pretty crazy, however if I follow this plan about 80% then that is OKAY with me!  These are some of the benefits from the program

MY JOURNEY

I like to begin each program by taking a picture because again I do not weight myself often, I go by the way my pants fit and my before and after photos is where I see the most results. Personally over the past year my weight has not changed much, if anything sometimes it goes up as I incorporate more weights into my programs. So the fact is the scale really is your worst friend, however, lets be real sometimes we really do need to make sure we are at a healthy weight so in this case I did weight myself before I began but I will not do it again until the 21 day are over.

MENTAL PREPARATION

As most program I like to do this with others so the MAIN reason I committed was because my cousin, uncle and a few fellow team boom coaches said they were also committing. I also have a lot of clients who are going through The Ultimate Reset so I decided to refresh my memory and stay on top of things :) I will also be doing this along side them! Its been about a year and a half and the first time I did it ALONE and it was tough, however I know having my cousin, friends, uncle who is pretty funny and texts me every day “HEY COACH” I know its going to be much easier. We also share recipes, pictures and keep reach other account about through a PRIVATE Facebook group. The support is pretty awesome and I can complain and laugh along side them.

MEAL PREP

The first important thing before any program is to read the program over and mentally prepare yourself by taking the necessary steps to get at least the first week of food you will need! Simply select your program day to get your daily menu, including recipes for each of your three meals and a chart that tells you precisely when to take your supplements. The guide gives you exactly what you are eating every single meal for 21 days. A lot of the meals are a repeat, which makes it easy!!!

  • Phase 1 BALANCE BODY CHEMISTRY

    Constant consumption of preservatives and chemical-laden foods along with exposure to toxins and pollution impair normal body processes. During Phase 1, you’ll balance your body chemistry with four of the six supplements in order to optimize its systems. This will also reduce cravings or dependencies on items such as sugar or caffeine.*

  • Day 1 Breakfast Lunch and Dinner
  • {Thoughts} This is A LOT of food!!! I was so full after breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was honestly amazing but I know from past experience the first three days are more food than you normal will take in, but man is it good! The first meal was Eggs, Spinach and Toast. I am eating the Man portions so this was so filling! For lunch I had a Chocolate Vegan Shakeology.

Day 2: The biggest problem I have had so far was definitely my regular routine of coffee!! Don’t get me wrong I don’t over do my coffee, sometimes I do, but that regular feeling of getting up, pouring my cup of coffee was really hard to do but after Day 2 I was okay with it and starting to enjoy the Green Tea! I didnt have the afternoon mid crashes! Todays day went with my running out the door to get the kids to preschool and daycare so I grabbed my Chocolate Shakeology Vegan and was on the go! Before each meal you had a cup of water, deskilled or lemon water with your supplements which is Optimize and Mineralize Salt. So I usually just shake the salt in my water and I am good to go! Lunch was one of my favorite and a Greek Dressing I still use to this day from a year and a half ago here is the recipe!!!

Ultimate Reset Day 2 Salad

Greek Dressing

(Makes 8 servings, about 2 tbsp each)

1/2 cup Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

1/4 cup red wine vinegar

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp. Balsamic Vinegar

2 tsp Oregano

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 tsp. Dijon Mustard

1/2 tsp Himalayan Salt

1 tsp. Herbal Seasoning Blend

Dinner was Southwest Taco’s Ultimate Reset Style. Honestly this were so goo, filling and easy to make! The rice is back beans and brown rice with Liquid Bragg Sauce for the Soy Sauce flavor. We added in some Chicken to add some protein, although I have to tell you after Day 4 you are going Vegan on the reset! So stay tuned!
